CICSA_italian historical trademark

In 2022, thanks to our long entrepreneurial history and continuous presence in the market since 1941, CICSA was recognised by the Italian State as an Italian Historical Trademark and included in the Special Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest.

This register, established by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, aims to identify and promote companies and trademarks active for over 50 years and their contribution to the country’s economic and cultural fabric.

The CICSA brand has its roots on the Lecco shore of Lake Como. Its name was formed using the initials of key identifying elements – the “c” for catenificio (chain manufacturer), the “i” for Italian, and another “c” representing the founding family – and its story is deeply intertwined with Caleotto/Arlenico, fully embedded in the prestigious mechanical engineering tradition of the Lecco area.

A strong bond with our national territory, the solidity of our technical-industrial know-how and the ability to evolve over time are the pillars upon which we continue to build our future.

Three years after this important milestone, we celebrate not only the recognition of our historical legacy but also the daily commitment of our team in combining tradition with innovation.

This anniversary is an opportunity to reaffirm our mission: to preserve and strengthen the value of the CICSA brand, so that it may continue to serve as a point of reference for future generations.
